meet Chef MiSol

Led by a Haitian Culinary Icon

Chef Mi-Sol Chevallier has spent over 40 years mastering her craft across three continents. Born in Gonaïves, she began cooking at age six and has since trained with legendary chefs including Escoffier, Alain Ducasse, and Le Nôtre. She's worked in diplomatic kitchens, opened multiple restaurants, and collaborated with Chef José Andrés to create what is now Atelier des Chefs.

Chef Mi-Sol Chevallier has spent over 40 years mastering her craft. She's trained with legendary chefs including Escoffier, Alain Ducasse, and Le Nôtre, and co-founded the Haitian Culinary Alliance.

As co-founder of the Haitian Culinary Alliance, Chef Mi-Sol has dedicated herself to elevating Haitian cuisine and training the next generation of chefs to international standards. Her students don't just learn technique. They learn what it means to enter the kitchen like entering the priesthood, to think about food from the moment they wake up until they go to sleep, and to never accept anything less than excellence.

Community Commitment

Atelier des Chefs stands ready to serve as an emergency relief kitchen when Haiti needs us. During the August 2021 earthquake, our students and Chef Mi-Sol provided nourishing meals to affected communities within 24 hours. We remain prepared to act whenever the need arises.
